Hone AI Skills Analysis

  • Updated

The Skills Analysis is a feature available in select Hone AI learning experiences. It allows learners to evaluate how effectively they are applying key behavioral skills taught in Hone AI sessions. Using a consistent, five-level rubric, the Skills Analysis provides clear feedback on strengths, areas for improvement, and next steps to support continued skill development.

Hone learning experiences may include one or more analysis components:

  • Skills Analysis: Evaluates proficiency in three core skills aligned with the session’s objectives.
  • Scenario Checklist: Measures whether key steps and behaviors in a scenario were completed.
Some sessions may include both, one, or neither, depending on the session’s design.

The AI Skills Analysis allows you to:

  • Get personalized, actionable insights after Hone AI sessions to easily understand how to continue growing your skills.
  • See what you’re doing well and where to improve with structured feedback tied to specific examples from your AI session.
  • Measure your growth with insights on what you’ve mastered and areas to level up.
  • Build your skills with confidence through personalized next steps with recommended learning experiences that will help you continue progressing in your career.

Before Beginning a Session with a Skills Analysis

When a session includes a Skills Analysis, learners will be asked to:

  • Be an active participant – Engage fully in the skill practice activity.
  • Apply the session’s concepts – Use the behaviors and frameworks covered in class.
  • Step outside your comfort zone – Practice authentically and be open to feedback.

How the Skills Analysis Works

During the session, learners will:

  • Demonstrate the three core skills associated with the session’s objectives.
  • Receive a proficiency rating using the universal five-level rubric.
  • View behavioral descriptions aligned to their score.
  • Receive Next Steps tailored to their performance.

Learners may also see a scenario checklist if the session includes one.

If a learner receives a lower rating, they may select Practice Again to retry. Learners may repeat a skill multiple times before finalizing their result.

Analysis results may appear in the learner’s e-report depending on the session configuration.

Skills Analysis Rating Scale

The Skills Analysis uses a universal five-level proficiency scale to evaluate learner performance. Each level reflects specific, observable behaviors tied to the skill being practiced. Because the rubric is consistent across all sessions, learners receive clear, comparable feedback that highlights strengths, identifies areas for improvement, and provides targeted next steps.

The Rating Scale is as follows:

1-1.9: Needs development

2-2.9: Emerging

3-3.9: Proficient

4-4.9: Advanced

5: Masterful

What Learners Will See

If a session includes a Skills Analysis, learners will see:

  • The name of each skill being assessed
  • A clear behavioral definition of the skill
  • Their rating on the five-level rubric
  • Recommended Next Steps for improvement

If only one analysis type (Skills Analysis or Scenario Checklist) applies, only the relevant tool will be displayed.
