What to expect

1. Tell us about yourself

Before choosing a coach, you’ll complete a short intake about your role, current challenges, leadership style, and what you’d like to accomplish through coaching.

Your responses help Hone identify coaches who are a strong match for your goals. Your selected coach can also review your intake responses to help prepare for your sessions.

You can return to your intake and update your responses before choosing your coach.

2. Choose your coach

Hone will recommend coaches based on your intake responses and their coaching backgrounds and areas of expertise.

Review each coach’s profile to learn more about their background, experience, and coaching approach, then select the coach who feels like the best fit.

Your selected coach will work with you throughout your coaching journey. Staying with the same coach creates continuity between sessions and gives you time to build toward your goals together.

3. Book your sessions

Once you’ve selected a coach, choose an available date and time for your first session.

You can book all your allocated sessions upfront or start with your first session and return to Hone to schedule the rest.

Plan to use your sessions within your coaching access window, generally up to three months. Your booking page shows the date by which your sessions should be completed.

Each booked session includes a calendar invitation with the session details you’ll need to attend.

4. Attend your coaching sessions

Each session is an opportunity to focus on a real challenge, decision, or development goal that matters to you. As you continue meeting with your coach, you can build on previous conversations, reflect on what you’ve tried, and decide what to work on next.

You can return to your 1:1 Coaching page in Hone to review your upcoming sessions, track your coaching progress, and book any remaining sessions.

5. Share feedback after each session

After each session, Hone will ask you to complete a brief survey. Your feedback helps track the value and outcomes of your coaching experience and helps Hone continue improving 1:1 Coaching.

Managing your coaching sessions

Cancelling a session

Plans change. If you need to cancel a session, you can do so through your 1:1 Coaching page in Hone.

Please cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled start time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session count toward your allocated coaching sessions.

Changing your coach

If you believe another coach would be a better fit, contact Hone Support. We can help you with changing coaches and continuing your coaching journey.

Need additional coaching sessions?

You can continue booking sessions until you’ve used your allocated coaching sessions or your coaching access period ends.

If you’ve used all your allocated sessions and would benefit from continuing your coaching, contact your organization’s Hone administrator to ask about additional 1:1 Coaching access.

Getting the most from 1:1 Coaching

You don’t need to arrive at each session with everything figured out. Coaching works best when you bring something real to explore, such as a current leadership challenge, an important decision, a difficult conversation, a new responsibility, or a goal you’re working toward.

Your coach can help you examine the situation from different perspectives, identify actions to try, and build on what you learn from one session to the next.
